The mission of the College Democrats of Rhode Island (CDRI) is to help elect Democrats from the grassroots level up, train and engage new generations of Democratic student activists, shape the Democratic Party with voices from America's youth, and become a potent political voice on issues that impact the student population. To that end, CDRI seeks to educate students about the philosophy of the Democratic Party and involve more students in the political process through events and through participation on electoral and issue advocacy campaigns. We currently have or are building chapters at seven campuses across the state.
This fall, we volunteered on a host of Democratic campaigns and were thrilled to help keep Rhode Island blue. We also cosponsored the Rhode Island Student Political Boot Camp. Throughout the spring we are excited to advocate on behalf of important federal and state legislation, organize a panel on education issues, and host our third annual convention at Brown. Whether you are a college student looking to get involved, or a Democrat seeking volunteers and interns, please feel free to reach out to us or the leaders of our chapters.
