STATEMENT BY R.I. DEMOCRATIC PARTY CHAIR JOSEPH M. MCNAMARA ON THE PASSING OF FORMER WARWICK PUBLIC OFFICIAL JOSEPH E. GALLUCCI
WARWICK, R.I. (Feb. 11, 2021) – “The Rhode Island Democratic Party joins other Rhode Islanders today in extending their sympathy to the family of the late Joseph E. Gallucci of Warwick, who dedicated his life to the service of the people of his ward, his city, this state and this country,” Chair Joseph M. McNamara said Thursday. “In whatever Joe did – as a former councilman, Director of Elections in Warwick, Rhode Island Liquor Control Commissioner, champion of youth athletics, or retired Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army National Guard – he did it with pride and dignity and out of deep commitment to others,” he said.
“Joe came from a large family devoted to community service, and was one of the most humble, respectful and hardworking public servants I knew,” McNamara said. “He will be sorely missed by us all.”
