STATEMENT BY R.I. DEMOCRATIC PARTY CHAIR JOSEPH McNAMARA ON THE
APPARENT PRESIDENTIAL WIN BY JOSEPH R. BIDEN
WARWICK, R.I. – “The voice of American voters on our historic Election Day was heard and
it was loud and clear: ‘Vote Joe!” Americans showed they’d had enough of the chaotic
presidency that roiled this country for the last four years, that pushed the limits of decency and
common sense,” said Joseph M. McNamara, Chair of the Rhode Island Democratic Party. “They
wanted a leader who’d return balance, experience, and good judgment to the highest office in the
land, someone who will heal the divide, and Joe Biden is that leader,” he said.
“The interregnum is unfortunately, a time of potential crisis: we urge the President and his
administration to channel the grace and integrity of past presidents – even under their most
challenging times – for the good of our people, this democracy, and this nation,” he said.
